services. Dr. Root is a member of the American
Association of Clinical Chemists and serves on their
Government Relations Committee. He provides frequent

Peter Kelly
is the Divisional Vice President of Corporate
Reimbursement and Strategic Initiatives for the
Government Affairs function at Abbott. Peter is
responsible for ensuring positive reimbursement
decisions for Abbott products in Medicare and Medicaid,
and so leads coding, coverage and payment strategies
aimed at broad patient access through these federal and
state health care programs. Additionally, he develops
initiatives and partnerships to support government
affairs and alliance development activities around the
world. |
